O.B. IS A Saint Paul-BASED ARTIST WORKING IN COLLAGE. They cut through headlines, propaganda, and erasure to make visible history as it unfolds -
and how it feels to live through it.

Through layering scraps, symbols, and fragments, O.B. builds a visual language that mirrors the fractures of the world around them. Headlines clash with found imagery, propaganda rubs against poetry, and absences are marked as loudly as presences. Each collage becomes both an archive and a rupture - a way of speaking when words alone are not enough.

DOOMSCROLLING

2025 :  ‘Like a Girl: Arts, Sports, and Inclusion’, Patina Gallery,  Indianapolis, Indiana

DOOMSCROLLING explores the emotional toll of consuming endless news cycles, especially for queer individuals constantly confronted with headlines that threaten their existence. The video pairs a slow, relentless scroll of real-world news with vibrant, stop-motion footage of a queer community—Minneapolis’s Stonewall Sports Tennis league—gathering, playing, and thriving.

This juxtaposition forces the viewer into a dual awareness: the heavy weight of systemic oppression and the enduring, everyday acts of resilience. The constant movement of the news never stops, but neither does the formation of joy, care, and solidarity. In a culture designed to exhaust and overwhelm us, DOOMSCROLLING reminds us that community is both resistance and refuge.
